Wide Receiver

Some of you might be surprised to see wide receiver on this list after the Chiefs signed Juju Smith-Schuster. However, the Chiefs still find themselves with very little depth at the position behind Tyreek Hill, Juju, and Mecole Hardman. For a pass-heavy offense, you have to have more depth to ensure an injury doesn’t completely derail your offensive game plan. It’s entirely possible that the Chiefs draft a wide receiver in a talented class to help with their depth, but another signing could also be possible.

Options That Might Make Sense For The Chiefs: Demarcus Robinson, Albert Wilson, Keelan Cole, Auden Tate

While there are much bigger names available than the ones listed above, I don’t expect the Chiefs to spend much money on a depth signing. Demarcus Robinson wouldn’t be a name that would excite fans, but he knows the offense and could fill in if needed. Albert Wilson returning on a cheap deal would be another option with experience in Reid’s system. Keelan Cole and Auden Tate are both players still in their prime who haven’t really had a chance to prove what they can do either because they’ve been in bad offenses with bad quarterbacks (Cole) or been buried behind bigger name receivers (Tate).

Now’s we finally jump to the defensive side of the ball, starting with the position the Chiefs need the most.
