In the wake of the end of another NFL season, the best plays from Super Bowl LVI are still hanging around in highlight clips as the thrill from the Los Angeles Rams’ championship are passed around and social media and shown on sports reels.

Perhaps the most notable play of all was Matthew Stafford‘s no-look pass to wide receiver Cooper Kupp late in the game and it made fans of plenty of folks around the league—including Patrick Mahomes.

In case you missed the play, the Rams were down by four points, 20-16, with only three-plus minutes left in the entire game. It was then that Stafford and the Rams offense came alive at the moment they needed it most. Stafford was the captain on this ship with a tremendous pass to hit Kupp downfield by looking off Cincinnati Bengals safety Vonn Bell.

Speaking of Patrick Mahomes, the man himself most known for no-look passes around the league took notice of Stafford and gave him a shout out of sorts on Twitter.

What’s interesting is that all the talk about Stafford’s no-look pass in the Super Bowl further pushes what he’s done for some time. It’s just that so many of his heroics came for the Detroit Lions for so long—a team with which he languished in or near the bottom of the NFC North basement for the majority of his career.

While it’s nice to praise Stafford, we’d also be remiss if we didn’t at least give you one clip to remind you of Mahomes’ supremacy in this category, however.

There, that’s more like it.
