If you’ve been hanging around K.C. Chiefs Twitter for the last few weeks, you’ll likely recall the Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Eli Apple isn’t exactly well-liked around these parts. That’s not because his team won and the Chiefs didn’t in the AFC Championship. Rather, it’s because Apple decided it would be a good look to rub it in the faces of Chiefs players on Twitter after the fact.

Following the AFC Championship game, Apple called Tyreek Hill a “baby” and generally had a lot of trash talking for Chiefs Kingdom in general. As they say, what goes around comes around, which means it’s not at all surprising that several members of the Chiefs were having fun giving Apple a taste of his own medicine on Twitter following the Bengals loss to the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl LVI.

If you missed the actual game, just know that Apple was torched time and again, including on the last touchdown of the game going against Cooper Kupp. Apple didn’t have his best game of the season, to say the least, and several players let him hear about it.

Various members of the Kansas City Chiefs took to Twitter to single out Eli Apple’s performance in the Super Bowl.

Tyreek Hill asked Apple to come to him straight if he had any issues with him on Twitter, but Apple refused. So it was fitting that Hill jumped on Twitter to express his own joy at watching the game’s outcome.

Of course, those are cryptic enough to be about anything, but Willie Gay Jr. makes it clear with the use of Apple’s uniform number.

Defensive tackle Khalen Saunders at least makes a pun of things to lighten the mood but to also get in on the action.

But honestly, the best line of the night came from wide receiver Mecole Hardman who just took it straight to Apple with a clear message.
