The Kansas City Chiefs are looking to reload after a collapse in the AFC Championship. Free agent wide receivers have been rumored as a priority.

The Kansas City Chiefs are searching for solutions after a historic collapse in the AFC Championship that sent the Cincinnati Bengals to the Super Bowl. Brett Veach remarked in his post-season presser that defense would be a high priority this offseason. While this very well may be the case, the rumors about their interest in free agent wide receivers cannot be ignored.

In the post-season presser, Brett Veach directly mentioned the impact that Odell Beckham Jr. had on the Rams. We also know from previous reporting earlier in the season that the Chiefs were in the sweepstakes for Odell Beckham Jr. when he was released by the Cleveland Browns in the middle of the season. Further, rumors swirled around JuJu Smith-Schuster and his willingness to sign with the Chiefs during the last offseason. Smith-Schuster ultimately stayed in Pittsburgh for Ben Roethlisberger‘s final season. Now, Smith-Schuster seems to be regretting that decision.

According to Pro Football Network’s Aaron Wilson, JuJu Smith-Schuster has a desire to play for the Chiefs next year. Now, if the interest is mutual, it seems incredibly likely that Smith-Schuster is wearing red and gold next year. Between Smith-Schuster and Beckham Jr. the Chiefs may have their pick during free agency, but they are certainly not the only options that Brett Veach has in free agency.
