Both the Cincinnati Bengals and Kansas City Chiefs know that everything is on the line on Sunday with a chance to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl as the reward awaiting the winner following Sunday’s AFC Championship. While a win is the ultimate goal for each team, the Chiefs did suffer a loss in terms of injury with word that Noah Gray was headed to the locker room.
The Chiefs watched Noah Gray leave for the locker room after walking off the field with a limp during the second quarter of the game. Gray was in on special teams coverage for the Chiefs as the Bengals were punting on their third drive of the game, a 31-yard punt from Kevin Huber.
The Chiefs have provided no official update as of yet for Gray, but both sides have watched a tight end leave for the locker room so far this game. The Bengals watched C.J. Uzomah also leave for the locker room back in the first quarter.
The Chiefs like the long-term potential of Gray who also provided a solid special teams player and occasional offensive contributor this season. However, the Chiefs are also blessed at the tight end positon with the single best player in the game with Travis Kelce.
Without Gray available, Blake Bell takes on greater importance at the positon beyond his blocking and occasional short-yardage runs.
