The details are officially out for next Sunday’s AFC Championship game between the Kansas City Chiefs and visiting Cincinnati Bengals at Arrowhead Stadium. For once, the Chiefs aren’t going to close out the festivities. Instead, the AFC showdown will start them.

The league has decided to put the Bengals vs. Chiefs on at 2:00 p.m. C.T. on Sunday, January 30. Their NFC counterparts will follow things up and provide the evening’s entertainment—the very seat that the Chiefs are used to occupying in each of the last couple rounds.

The Bengals are coming into Arrowhead following a thrilling 19-16 road win over the top-seeded Tennessee Titans—a game that undoubtedly would have been the talk of the weekend had the entire Divisional Round not featured one dramatic game after the other. Joe Burrow and company went into the home of a well-rested, well-coached team and did what they needed to move on. It wasn’t always pretty but these Bengals aren’t content with being more successful than last year.

The Chiefs are going to have their hands full in the AFC Championship knowing they were just taken out by the Bengals back in Week 17 already. That was on the road at Paul Brown Stadium, but Cincy has to be flying high in terms of confidence. They have nothing to lose as the unexpected young team defying expectations. Zac Taylor’s team is also proving they will be here for years to come.

Here’s the official schedule for the conference championships, both of which are set for next Sunday

  • Cincinnati Bengals vs. Kansas City Chiefs, 2:05 p.m. C.T. @ Arrowhead Stadium, Sunday, January 30
  • San Francisco 49ers vs. Los Angeles Rams, 5:40 p.m. C.T. @ SoFi Stadium, Sunday, January 30
