The NFL All-Pro team, which is one of the most prestigious honors an individual player can achieve was announced early Friday afternoon, and Chiefs Kingdom is quite a bit upset about who wasn’t on it.

It’s worth noting that no Chiefs were voted the top of their position for first-team All-Pro. Hard to imagine the No. 2 seed in the AFC and a team that is eyeing a third straight Super Bowl appearance does not possess a single All-Pro.

The biggest snub for the Chiefs and likely the biggest in the entire league, however, was rookie center, Creed Humphrey. The top center according to the voters was Philadelphia’s Jason Kelce. Humphrey was actually third behind Kelce and Los Angeles’ Corey Linsley.

Creed Humphrey has been snubbed by the NFL’s All-Pro announcement.

Humphrey was PFF’s highest-graded center in the NFL with a 91.4 overall grade which was first not just among rookies but all centers. Humphrey has also only allowed one sack throughout the entire season and had started every single game for the new-look Chiefs offensive line in 2021.

Humphrey had been the signal-caller for that offensive line from day one and put on a show in both pass protection and run-blocking which the Kansas City Chiefs finished top five in as a unit.

Humphrey was also left off of the Pro Bowl team earlier this season despite leading all centers in fan voting. Contrary to the Pro Bowl, All-Pro voting is conducted solely by league media and executives, so one has to wonder what exactly these qualified voters are watching that led them to believe Humphrey isn’t deserving of either. Quite frankly, you have to wonder what makes the voters qualified.

To throw salt in the wound, the ROTY finalists were also announced today and Creed Humphrey was not even a finalist for the award. I don’t think Humphrey likely would have won especially going up against some flashier skill position players, but not even getting mentioned among the group is just flat out disrespectful to what he’s done this year.

Humphrey not making All-Pro is one thing, but going 0-3 on potential accolades in a year where he’s clearly been the best center is really disappointing. On the bright side, Humphrey has a chance to be the lone center that hoists a Lombardi trophy in the end which will be more memorable than any of the aforementioned awards.
