2. Tennessee Titans

The Tennessee Titans locked up the first seed in the AFC with their win over the Texans on Sunday. Ranking them second in these Power Rankings will probably be viewed by Titans fans as a huge slap in the face, but I still like the Chiefs chances more. Some might say that’s just because I’m a lifelong Chiefs fan. They would be correct, but not for the reason they think.

As a lifelong Chiefs fan, I’ve seen many a Chiefs team have a great regular season only to have my hopes crushed by a team with a better quarterback. Chiefs Kingdom has been where Titans fans are now: a really good regular season team that may not have the quarterback that can carry them to the promised land. If I’m being honest, I even considered putting the Bills ahead of the Titans because I like Josh Allen more than Ryan Tannehill. However, the Titans did beat them head to head earlier this season.

The Titans are a team that I think will put up a tremendous fight against any team they face. They are certainly capable of making the Super Bowl and they’ve been proving people wrong all season. At the end of day, until they dethrone the two time reigning AFC Champs in the playoffs, they’ll have to settle for second in these power rankings.
