The Bengals are likely to lose if…

From Leigh: If the Bengals lose on Sunday, it will likely be because the offensive line can’t protect Burrow. This offense rides and dies with Burrow so if he can’t get solid protection, it’s hard for those lethal weapons to do much because Burrow can’t get them the ball. The o-line has been up and down this season but they’ve really struggled recently, as Burrow has been sacked at least three times in the past four games.

Our take: Our own Farzin Vousoughian already wrote about this very notion earlier this week. It just makes too much sense. The Bengals have underinvested in their offensive line for years now while the Chiefs’ defensive front is coming together at the ideal time. This is the very scenario that some draft experts took the Bengals to task about when they passed on an anchor outside like Penei Sewell. If the Chiefs can get after Burrow like they have previous quarterbacks, it could get lopsided quickly.

Final prediction

From Leigh: Kansas City is red-hot right now and I’m not picking against them. I’ll go with a 24-14 Chiefs victory.
