Las Vegas Raiders

The Raiders have faced a lot this season and last week they faced the Drew Lock-led Broncos and did everything in their power to try and lose the game. The Raiders turned the ball over three times in this game and as Chiefs fans have seen, this is not a winning recipe. The Raiders were lucky to pull this one out and were it against a better team, they certainly would have been dominated. You just cannot turn the ball over with regularity and expect to win.

With the Raiders in the hunt for a new head coach, I’m kind of hoping that Derek Carr keeps playing just good enough for them to think he is a long-term option. He just isn’t a great quarterback. He is fine.  Just gotta keep promoting these types of takes:

Ultimately, the Raiders are going to need some help if they hope to make the playoffs, and earlier on Tuesday, it seemed like it was coming their way when the Colts announced that they placed Carson Wentz on the COVID list. However, the NFL and NFLPA adopted new rules related to isolation (following the newly released CDC guidelines) and Wentz still has a chance to play. It is definitely a situation to watch as the Colts are vying for a playoff spot as well.

Assuming Wentz is back and healthy, I think the Colts win. The Raiders just don’t have the defense to stop the running game out of Indianapolis. If Wentz can’t go, I still think the Colts win, but maybe the game is a little more exciting…
