AFC West report: COVID rears its ugly head again

Denver Broncos
The Denver Broncos played the Cincinnati Bengals in yet another game of bad football. The Bengals are (somehow) still in the thick of it and I guess maybe the Broncos are too? However, if you watched this game, you would think they were fighting for the first overall draft pick. The biggest news that came out of this game was at the quarterback position for the Broncos.
Late in the third quarter, Bridgewater took a hit that looked bad, but turned out to be scary.
Bridgewater was immediately taken to the hospital and has since been released. He remains in concussion protocol but barring something miraculous, won’t play on Sunday. In addition to Bridgewater, the Broncos were without starters Kenny Young (concussion) and Dre’Mont Jones (foot), while Ronald Darby came out for a concussion evaluation. These types of injuries are scary, but this one give us access to Drew Lock footage and it was good.

How much do I love this play? So much.
Next week, the Broncos get the Raiders. Both are .500. Both are technically still in the playoff race I guess. Neither team is very good. I do not expect that this will be enjoyable football, but hey, maybe we’ll see a triple fumble?
