9. Cincinnati Bengals
The Cincinnati Bengals also sit at 7-6 after a tough overtime loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. The Bengals have lost by a field goal in four of their six losses. A few plays here and there and this team could easily be sitting at 9-4 and would be about five spots higher on this list. However, the finger injury to Joe Burrow seems to be bothering him and their offensive line is still a problem. While I like their offensive weapons long-term, I don’t see them doing enough down the stretch with the following schedule.
- at Denver Broncos
- vs Baltimore Ravens
- vs Kansas City Chiefs
- at Cleveland Browns
The Bengals have to play all four remaining games against other AFC teams that all have winning records. Now, if they can somehow run the table they will be in great shape, but this feels more like a team that will probably be lucky to end up 2-2 in that stretch and may need some help to get into the playoffs.
Next up, a team the Bengals know all too well.
