The Kansas City Chiefs are looking to make it five wins in a row as they head into their Week 13 meeting, and they’ve got the advantage of having the last week to rest and recover from the first two thirds of the NFL season thus far. Despite their momentum, however, they’re ready to run into their first AFC West rival in a while and the Denver Broncos are looking better than anyone initially believed.

So far in the AFC West, every team is within a single game of each other with the Chiefs ahead of everyone at 7-4. The L.A. Chargers already won in Week 13, however, which means the Chiefs the pressure is on to either maintain that lead for K.C. or not fall behind for Denver. This is the time of year where the league’s best teams will separate themselves from the pack, and the Chiefs hope to deliver just that.

What’s going to make it more difficult for both teams is the number of inactive players on each side. For the Chiefs, they’re missing key players on both sides of the ball which will force them to dip into their reserves in key spots.

Here are the inactive players for Chiefs vs. Broncos.

Right tackle Lucas Niang is inactive for Sunday night’s game for yet another week after also missing the team’s last two games before the bye. It’s been a few weeks now since Niang has been able to take the field due to a rib injury but the team is keeping him off of IR, so there are likely hopes he can return soon. However, he’s out along with cornerback Rashad Fenton, who has a knee injury. Kyle Long is also out, which means Andrew Wylie will make the start against outside.

Here’s the complete list of Chiefs inactive players for Week 13:

  • Shane Buechele, quarterback
  • Rashad Fenton, cornerback
  • Lucas Niang, offensive tackle
  • Kyle Long, offensive tackle

Here is the complete list of inactives for the Broncos in Week 13:

  • Essang Bassey, cornerback
  • Melvin Gordon, running back
  • Jamar Johnson, safety
  • Mike Purcell, defensive tackle
  • Brett Rypien, quarterback

The Cowboys and Broncos kick off at Arrowhead Stadium at 7:25 p.m. C.T.
