Every year is a new year in the NFL that brings with it a blank slate upon which fans can dream of their favorite team winning it all. But somehow, despite the Denver Broncos currently sitting with a winning record of 6-5 just one game back of the division lead in the AFC West, it’s hard to find anyone who really believes they’re going to have the substance required to maintain such a posture down the stretch. One major test will come this Sunday night against the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Chiefs and Broncos face off for the first of two meetings this month in primetime after the game was flexed from Sunday’s earliest afternoon spot just before the Chiefs headed into the bye in Week 12. The reason was because the West is red hot at this point with a single game separating all four teams in the division. This match between the Broncos and Chiefs will go a long way toward sorting out the competition.

Unfortunately for Denver, they’ve lost 11 games in a row, a streak dating back to 2015, so even with their current success in 2021, they still have a major monkey on their back when it comes to this lopsided matchup. Let’s see how well these teams stack up and look at what the odds tell us about expectations from Las Vegas oddsmakers.

Chiefs vs Broncos Odds Week 13

The Week 13 betting odds on WynnBET have the Chiefs as 10-point favorites which is quite a spread for two division rivals who both sit over .500 with a single game between them. However, Andy Reid’s dominance of the Broncos, especially in recent years, is hard to ignore. The average deficit for the Broncos has grown in recent years to over 19 points per game in the last four contests, which is why oddsmakers believe they could lose by 10 on the road at Arrowhead.

The Chiefs have -450 money line odds, while the Broncos are the underdog at +360. The total for the game is set at an over/under of 47.5 points, which could still be a bit high given the defensive prowess exhibited by both sides in recent weeks.

Chiefs vs Broncos Prediction Week 13

it would be silly to pick the Broncos for any real reason here. From the Chiefs having a bye week to rest and prepare to the current streak of 11 straight wins, there’s simply no reason to think that Teddy Bridgewater is going to outdoes Patrick Mahomes in 2021. This is a pretty simple call unless someone wants to overthink the “trap game” angle of it all. We won’t.
