Las Vegas Raiders

The Raiders continued their downward spiral and watched as their season got further away from playoff contention. The Bengals handed the Raiders yet another loss on the season dropping them to 5-5 at the bottom of the AFC West. The Raiders could not convert on third down to save their life and they could not keep Joe Mixon out of the endzone.

Derek Carr continues to be middling – he is going to keep the Raiders kind of in the hunt for the playoffs, but will never get them far. I mean, look at this interception:

At the end of the day, the off the field issues are probably catching up to the team and they need some serious work before they are contenders. I’m just so happy I got to see yet another Raiders loss.

It seems like the Raiders have hit that “end of the season” crumble – you know the one. They start off really strong and everyone says this is the “new Raiders” and they are going to the playoffs and will make it deep. Then, they implode. We’re witnessing it again, and it is glorious.

The Raiders have a short week this week as they travel to take on the Cowboys. We saw the Cowboys on Sunday look bad so they probably have something to prove and will want to keep their first place position in their own division. I see this as a Cowboys win in what could be a sneaky fun game to watch.
