2. Patrick Mahomes – Rushing Yards (19.5)

For the last few weeks, the rushing ability of Patrick Mahomes, which was already an overlooked part of his game, has been underutilized. For this game between the Chiefs and Cowboys, Mahomes is only given just under 20 yards as a threshold to meet, which could be taken out in a single scramble. That said, it would go against the curve that Mahomes is establishing in recent games.

Last week against the Raiders, Mahomes had 0 rushes to his credit—not a single yard. Mahomes also had -2 yards in the game before that. He had 10 yards in the team’s win over the Giants in Week 9. In short, as Mahomes and the Chiefs offense gets used to the pocket around him—the rebuilt offensive line—he’s learning to get the ball out earlier and stay in the pocket.

It’s also important that right tackle has been an issue in these games, which likely leads to quicker passes coming out of the pocket from Mahomes as he wants to make sure to nullify the effectiveness of pass rushers like Maxx Crosby. Andrew Wylie is starting again this week for the Chiefs.

Pick: Under (-120)
