Pittsburgh Steelers (Week 16) & Cincinnati Bengals (Week 17)

Kansas City’s two remaining AFC North opponents have had similar seasons. Both can boast impressive wins, but both have also had frustrating and borderline embarrassing results, too.

Cincinnati finished last in their division last season, but they were one of the hottest teams in the league earlier this year. Not too long ago they were 5-2 and in first place the AFC North, having just thumped the Baltimore Ravens by a final score of 41-17. But since then, the Bengals have come crashing back down to earth, first losing to the New York Jets and then getting blown out by the struggling Cleveland Browns, 41-16.

The Bengals can certainly be dangerous on their day, but those two losses highlight that Cincinnati are more pretenders than contenders this season.

Pittsburgh meanwhile started the season off with a big win over the Buffalo Bills, and recently they had looked impressive as they won four-straight games from Week 6-10.

But their winning streak came to a screeching halt in Week 10 they failed to beat the winless Detroit Lions in Pittsburgh, playing out a dour 16-16 tie at a rain-soaked Heinz Field. The Steelers were without starting quarterback Ben Roethlisberger against Detroit, but they still rank in the bottom 10 in the league in points and total yards on offense this season.

Pittsburgh have looked good in patches, but with only one win against a team over .500 and not a single win by double digits this season, their 5-3-1 record might suggest that they are punching above their weight.
