KC Chiefs have an easier late-season schedule than we thought

As the Kansas City Chiefs head into the back end of the season they find themselves in an almost unimaginable spot – in first place in the AFC West, with their playoff destiny in their own hands.

It has been a tough road for the Chiefs to climb to the top of the division, and there are still plenty of challenges still to come. But the good news for Kansas City is that what was once a daunting late-season schedule now looks like it might be easier than we thought.

On paper, the going seems tough – the Chiefs don’t have a single game against an opponent currently below .500 left on their schedule.

However, a spate of recent poor performances by all their future opponents means that what initially looked like an incredibly tough run home now suddenly seems a whole lot more favorable. Despite their strong records, each of Kansas City’s upcoming opponents have had games in which their flaws and imperfections been on display.
