4. Jarran Reed

After a glacially slow start, Reed seems to have finally found his footing in Kansas City. To be fair, the entire defense got off to a slow start this year. Reed was singled out because of the excitement built around his signing this offseason. Now, it appears as though Reed could not only be a productive part of the defense but also a key cog in the machine.

Last week against the Raiders, Reed was arguably one of the best defensive players on the field. In the matchup, he notched a sack, two quarterback hits, and a tackle for a loss. The Chiefs were able to put the Raiders in a lot of bad situations offensively and Reed was able to capitalize in a major way.

Now, to close the season, the interior defensive lineman could be a major reason that the Chiefs make a deep playoff run. With Jones on one side and Reed on the other, teams are going to be giving Reed a lot of one-on-one looks. If he can come close to his performance last week on a weekly basis, the Chiefs could be impenetrable.
