2. Melvin Ingram

Since Melvin Ingram was added, the defense has looked very solid. Having Chris Jones along the interior has likely been the biggest contributor, but Ingram has been a key contributor already. The scary thing is, Ingram has not had time to gel with the other defenders or clearly carve out his role on the Kansas City defense.

The Chiefs were looking for help along the defensive line and found it at the trade deadline. Although the Steelers are conference rivals, they shipped Ingram to the Chiefs for a 6th round pick. Ingram has yet to play 50% of the snaps or more. If Ingram can settle in, the Chiefs defense could be even better than it has been for the last couple of weeks.

Ingram, despite making a quiet impact, has not yet recorded a quarterback hit or a sack as a member of the Kansas City Chiefs. The fact is, Ingram could figure it out and become a game wrecker. If that is the case, the Kansas City defensive line will be among the best in the NFL.
