Creed Humphrey

Looking back at the 2021 NFL Draft process, Creed Humphrey was always a highly-rated prospect who was destined to serve as a solid center at the pro level. After all, he was a multi-year starter from a high-level college program who’d protected some of the very best quarterbacks to play at the collegiate level in a generation. Even with his basic resume, Humphrey was taken seriously for teams needing to solidify the interior of their offensive lines.

However, even with all the acclaim that came his way from so much impressive college tape, Humphrey has still proven himself to be a marvel among his peers at the highest level. He’s among the highest rated offensive linemen by Pro Football Focus in the entire game and he’s also the single highest-rated rookie of any position:

His own teammates and former Chiefs are weighing in on his incredible performance as well.

Some questions are even being asked about ROY status.

While the Chiefs knew they were upgrading the position after going with Austin Reiter at center for the last couple years, no one likely predicted just how brilliant Humphrey would look from the outset—or how quickly he would learn. He’s already generating Pro Bowl buzz and if it doesn’t come in this first season, it seems like a lock for sometime in the course of this rookie contract.
