2. Patrick Mahomes – Rushing Yards (23.5)

While it might seem weird to focus on statistics for Patrick Mahomes that have nothing to do with completions, attempts, passing yards, or even touchdowns, there’s a number here that feels just a tad high in the wake of the way that Mahomes has typically performed against the Las Vegas Raiders that we wanted to highlight.

Given that these teams face each other twice per year, it means that Mahomes and the Raiders are intimately familiar with one another—much more so than other opponents. Given that perspective, it’s telling to us that Mahomes has never really put many rushing yards on the board in any of the contests he’s had against the AFC West rivals in his few years as the Chiefs’ starting quarterback.

In his very first start against Oakland (at the time, the home of the Raiders), he had 9 rushes for 52 yards, but that’s such an outlier in the rest of the series history between the teams that this feels safer to bet on him going under the 23.5 yards listed by oddsmakers. Mahomes has had only 62 total yards in his last five games against the Raiders, and he had 21 and 16 yards in each of the last two games from last season.

Pick: Under (-115)
