The Kansas City Chiefs look as if they might be as thin as we were afraid they’d look at right tackle coming into their Week 10 game against the Las Vegas Raiders. That’s because both starting tackle Lucas Niang and his primary backup Mike Remmers are both sitting out of practice on Wednesday for the Chiefs.

Head coach Andy Reid detailed the team’s latest health concerns for the media on Wednesday as the team began their week of preparation before visiting the Raiders. Both Niang and Remmers are dealing with recent injuries that kept them out of Sunday’s game—one in which Niang hurt his ribs early in the first half.

The CHiefs are missing both NIang and Remmers at practice on Wednesday.

Initially, Niang was deemed questionable to return to the game for the Chiefs but he remained out. Now a few days after the fact, Niang’s inability to practice at all makes it hard to remain positive about his potential status for Sunday. That’s bad timing for both the roster in general, as Remmers has already missed the last two games with a knee injury, but also because this is the first AFC West game in several weeks and the Chiefs could really help their postseason cause with a win in Las Vegas.

If both players remain out for Sunday Night Football, the Chiefs are likely going to go with Andrew Wylie, who was the team’s answer in a pinch against the Green Bay Packers. They also have Prince Tega Wanogho, too.

As for others on the injury report. the Chiefs are allowing linebacker Dorian O’Daniel and defensive lineman Chris Jones to be excused from Wednesday’s practice. The only other injury of note belongs to cornerback L’Jarius Sneed who came with several big plays on Sunday’s win over the Packers. Sneed is sitting out on Wednesday with an ankle injury.
