Just when the Las Vegas Raiders thought things couldn’t get any worse for them, the Kansas City Chiefs are scheduled to come to town. On the potentially positive side, a chance to beat a hated division rival and right their ship in the AFC West could be exactly what Derek Carr and company could use right about now. At the same time, it almost feels like a cruel time for the Chiefs to have access to the Raiders.

Over the past few weeks, the Raiders have endured a number of scandals that seem like they could be distracting from the team. Honestly, how could they not? Just a few weeks ago, the team lost their head coach when Jon Gruden was forced out of his post following a series of private messages made public in which he used homophobic and racial slurs among other disturbing things. This week was even worse when second-year wideout Henry Ruggs III was charged after killing a 23-year-old woman in a car accident while driving under the influence.

On the field, the Raiders lost their leader and one of their most dynamic offensive weapons. Then they proceeded to lose as a team to the New York Giants in Week 9, an opponent that is clearly inferior. Now at this point, Raider Nation has to wonder whether this is the beginning of the end or not—a real problematic turn after such a strong start to the year.

As for the Chiefs, they get a chance to do some real damage in the AFC West in primetime after struggling in the first half of the season. Let’s get into the odds and a prediction for Sunday.

Chiefs vs Raiders Odds Week 10

The Week 10 betting odds on WynnBET have the Chiefs as 3-point favorites despite the fact that the Chiefs have been trailing the Raiders in the AFC West for almost the entire season. But Vegas is likely seeing the wheels slowly come off with the firing of Jon Gruden, the release of Henry Ruggs III and Damon Arnette, and a recent loss to the New York Giants of all teams. Yes, they’ve added DeSean Jackson to the mix, but can the Raiders come up with a big home win against the defending AFC champions?

The Chiefs have -145 money line odds, while the Raiders are the underdog at +125. The total for the game is set at an over/under of 52 points.

Chiefs vs Raiders Prediction Week 10

The Las Vegas Raiders have endured a couple years worth of drama in a matter of weeks and just lost perhaps the easiest non-conference game on their schedule against the New York Giants. Meanwhile the Chiefs have everything to gain as they try to climb their way back up the AFC West and this particular contest with the Raiders on the road gives them their best chance to make a divisional statement again. This feels like two clubs going in two opposite directions despite the similarities in records.

Prediction: Chiefs 30, Raiders 21
