Somewhere along the line, the K.C. Chiefs game against the Tennessee Titans in Week 7 went from “just another AFC game” to “pivotal conference matchup.” That’s good news for fans who are looking forward to an important showdown on Sunday afternoon.

The Titans are coming off of a big win over the Buffalo Bills and face the L.A. Rams in two weeks making this the toughest stretch of their schedule overall. The Chiefs have already given away important wins to the Bills, the L.A. Chargers, and Baltimore Ravens, so they could use a boost in the AFC to stay in the hunt for a top seed. Then again, another loss would put the Chiefs under .500 and makes talk of a top seed sound a bit silly.

Who will emerge victorious? Derrick Henry and the Titans are ready for another big win. The Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes are hoping to own a winning record for the first time since Week 1. Here’s a look at key information for the game.

Chiefs Injury Report vs Titans Team Week 7

For the Chiefs, the injuries are starting to pile up almost as much as the Titans, which means this game is going to be heavily affected by who is able to go and who is not. Chris Jones is questionable to play with a wrist injury that’s kept him out for two weeks. Charvarius Ward has already missed a month of games and is questionable again with a quad injury. Clyde Edwards-Helaire remains on IR. Linebacker Anthony Hitchens and fullback Michael Burton have also already been ruled out.

Julio Jones injury update

As for the Titans, there are recent big injuries to Taylor Lewan, Caleb Farley, Kristian Fulton, Chester Rogers, and others and all of those players are already out. One big injury that remains uncertain is the availability of wide receiver Julio Jones, who some fans wanted the Chiefs to potentially chase as a preseason addition when he was made available on the trade market by the Atlanta Falcons.

Jones is considered questionable for this matchup and he’s a key part of what the Titans can do offensively if teams stay overcommitted to stopping Derrick Henry (which is a fool’s errand in itself given his production week after week). Can the Chiefs cover the weapons of the Titans enough to come away with a win? Jones’ availability will be a big part of the game plan if he’s ready.

Chiefs vs Titans Odds, Spread, Over/Under & Betting Pick Week 7

WynnBET’s Week 7 NFL odds have the Chiefs favored by 5 points on the road. Yes, the Chiefs are coming off of a win in Week 6 against the Washington Football Team, but it’s a bit surprising to see the AFC South-leading Titans listed by underdogs by this amount given they’re not only at home but they’re also coming off of a win over the Buffalo Bills.

The pick here to take the Titans with the points might be the way to go even if you favor the Chiefs to win overall. For that, the money line, by the way, is -225. For the Titans, it’s +190. The over/under for the game sits at 57.0, which given the offensive potential for both teams as well as the defensive injuries, the over is a solid bet here.
