Kansas City Chiefs

Are the Chiefs back? Is everything fixed? Probably not entirely, but I am certainly happier than I have been in recent weeks. It is almost as if at halftime, the Chiefs clicked. The first half definitely looked rough as turnovers plagued the Chiefs again, but when they emerged at halftime, it looked like a new team.

Patrick Mahomes really is incredible. He was clicking with his receivers and finally looked like he was no longer trying to force things, but was taking the open looks. I’m very excited to see this trend continue…

Unfortunately, the Chiefs left the game with some major injuries. First, tight end (and local favorite) Jody Fortson tore his Achilles. Linebacker Anthony Hitchens also left with an elbow injury. We await the full extent of the injury. Not only that, but Travis Kelce and Tyreek Hill were both a bit banged up in the game. The Chiefs desperately need everyone to stay healthy as they head into a tough and physical matchup against the Titans in Week 7.

The Chiefs head to Nashville following the Titans’ thrilling victory over the Buffalo Bills. We all know the problem that is Derrick Henry and our linebackers are not great at stopping the run so this could be a problem…or it could be a chance for them to prove themselves! I like to think this will be a statement game for Nick Bolton and show what he was drafted for. I’d also love to see Chris Jones back on the field please. Here’s hoping the Chiefs show up and prove that they are the best team in the NFL.
