The Kansas City Chiefs are in last place in the AFC West for the first time since 2015, being pulled down by one of the worst defensive units in the NFL, and being begrudgingly pulled along by historic offensive output.

Unfortunately, the offense hasn’t been able to get the defensive monkey off of their back, and haven’t done the best to limit their own faults with a -7 turnover differential courtesy of 11 turnovers through 5 weeks.

However, there is reason to believe this team can turn around their season and come away with their 6th AFC West title in as many seasons (something no AFC West team has ever done). With the second half of their season consists of mostly AFC West opponents (5 of 8), there is a chance for them to crawl back into the division standings.

Of course, they have the time left to make a run, but, what gives reason for a run like this? What should fans believe will change in order to spurn a winning streak?
