Do you think Matt Milano will play and just how important is his presence/absence?

He has now had two straight DNPs and hamstring injuries he has struggled with and missed at least one game the past two seasons with them. At this point, I would consider it a longshot that he plays which is a huge loss for this defense. I think there is an easy case to be made that Milano has been the best player on the defense this year with big plays. This, combined with the fact that Milano does an excellent job in pass coverage against tight ends and knowing Travis Kelce is on the other side really creates some challenges for the coaching staff in how they replace their starting linebacker.

It’s easy to read the stats on Josh Allen this year and try to make some assumptions, but what are you seeing beyond the stats about his season so far, for better or worse?

So far this season, Josh Allen has had one bad game (Week 1), one great game (Week 3), and two ‘got the job done’ games (Week 2, Week 4). The two ‘got the job done’ games are my favorite because those were the games that it was a team effort and there wasn’t a lot asked of him because it was a complete team win with a dominating defense and production from the run game (which they didn’t have last year).

Honestly, the best thing for the Buffalo Bills is if Josh Allen doesn’t have to have these huge games like he did last year because it means other parts of the roster are playing at a high level. This week though is going to be a great test and where he can earn that huge contract extension. It is a primetime game and they are going up against a great offense, so the Bills will need Allen to keep this offense on track and make those big throws in a hostile environment.

If the Bills lose to the Chiefs in Week 5, it will probably be because…?

Josh Allen doesn’t play within the offense. There are times where he can put this team on his shoulder and will them to wins but there are also times where that can go to far and results in negative plays. If the offense can mantain some of that balance in pass/run and Allen can get the multitude of playmakers he has around him the ball quickly and not force anything, there is a good chance to steal a win in Arrowhead.
