Save for the hype of the Kansas City Chiefs game against the Green Bay Packers scheduled for next month, the Chiefs’ upcoming game against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday Night Football in Week 5 was likely the most highly anticipated matchup of the season. Last year, the Bills lost in both the regular season and the postseason to the Chiefs yet overall they took the leap that many were hoping the organization could make with such a deep roster.
Josh Allen is going to be the key for the Bills’ future success against the Chiefs, if they are going to be able to hurdle them and think about taking the AFC. Allen is already enjoying a strong year with 9 touchdowns and the Bills sitting at 3-1, but the schedule has been a largely easy one for Buffalo and they haven’t met a team like the Chiefs yet at all.
Can the Bills shake the monkey from their backs like the Baltimore Ravens did in Week 2? How will the Chiefs handle yet another tough early season matchup against another contender from the AFC? There’s a lot to look forward to with this showdown.
For those wanting to watch the game, it’s another primetime contest for the Chiefs and their second stint in four weeks on Sunday Night Football (the former being the last-second loss to Lamar Jackson and the Ravens). Both teams are scheduled to kick off at 7:20 p.m. C.T. although live coverage should begin on NBC at 6:00 p.m.
