KC Chiefs Game Today: Eagles vs Chiefs injury report, schedule, live stream, TV channel and betting preview for Week 4 NFL game
By Matt Conner
The old Andy Reid revenge game.
We’re not really sure what that means at this point, since Andy Reid has been with the Chiefs for nearly a decade. He’s got very fond memories and grand achievements in both places, and each fan base likely loves Reid and sleeps with some sort of Andy-looking plush doll at night. (We took that too far, didn’t we?) You get the drift.
In short, there’s likely no real negative emotion at work here at all. And Philly has since cycled through myriad coaches since letting Andy Reid’s contract expire (Chip Kelly, Pat Shurmur, Doug Pederson), so the storyline isn’t even there anymore. We should be talking about the young core of Jalen Hurts and Nick Sirianni instead, but we love Andy so we’ve kept the focus there.
Can Andy Reid enjoy winning against his former team from a decade ago in Week 4? Let’s look at the particulars of the game to see how things look.
Chiefs Injury Report vs Eagles Week 4
The Chiefs secondary is hurting at this point with numerous injuries, both big and small. Charvarius Ward was designated as questionable on last week’s final injury report for Week 3 with a quad injury and was ultimately inactive for the game. He’s been limited in practice all week long so far. Rashad Fenton has also missed every practice with a concussion and it doesn’t seem likely he will play.
Even smaller injuries to L’Jarius Sneed (quad) and Chris Lammons (bicep) are listed on the injury report as well, so that whole unit’s depth will be tested against the Eagles.
As for Philly, they’re relatively healthy entering the game with one one player limited or missing from practice at all. Starting left tackle Jordan Mailata missed Week 3 with a knee injury and he’s also missed practice this week, which makes it seem as if Andre Dillard is likely going to get a second start at the position.
Frank Clark injury update
Clark has been dealing with hamstring issues for the months of August and September, with two different hamstring injuries resulting in absences in both Week 1 and Week 3. Chiefs Kingdom is expecting a lot from Frank Clark in a defining season for his legacy here with the team, as his contract amount is simply overwhelming cap-wise, especially when compared with such inconsistent production. He’s been limited in practice this week, so it will be interesting to see if he’s out again or whether he suits up to play.
Chiefs vs Eagles Odds, Spread, Over/Under & Betting Pick Week 4
WynnBET’s Week 4 NFL odds have the Chiefs favored by 3.5 points on the road. The over/under on total points is at 54.5, a slight trend downward from earlier in the week. As we discussed earlier, the Ravens are dealing with so many injuries that things might be less of a slugfest and more of a one-sided affair, which would keep teams from reaching a loftier total, so the under might be a solid play. Either way, the Chiefs should be an easy bet here with the points.
