The experts have spoken for Week 4, and it seems like the K.C. Chiefs are the pick du jour to beat the spread and ultimately win against the Philadelphia Eagles on the road.

Despite the team’s two game losing skid, the Eagles are, fortunately for Chiefs Kingdom, exactly the kind of opponent against whom nearly every single expert expects them to reverse their fortunes and make believers out of everyone again in their attempts to make a third consecutive Super Bowl appearance.

What’s working against the Eagles is their own two-game skid in which the games have not looked all that close with a number of significant roster concerns coming into play for Philadelphia. There’s a youth movement at work for the Eagles in Nick Sirianni’s first season and no one believed it would be a quick fix. Facing the Chiefs in Week 4, then, isn’t supposed to help that cause.

Let’s take a look at who NFL experts are picking for Week 4 and how they expect them to do against the spread, which is currently at -7 points from our friends at WynnBET.

It’s hard to find someone who doesn’t have the Chiefs covering the spread against the Eagles.

Over at CBS Sports, expert Pete Prisco predicts that Patrick Mahomes will deliver a “big victory” over the Eagles in a matchup of two teams with disparate talent levels. He has the Chiefs not only beating the current seven-point spread but even winning by nearly double that with a 13-point deficit between the two.

We’ll stick with CBS Sports for a second to make room for the opinion of Will Brinson, who throws a bit of a curveball in going with the Chiefs but he has the Eagles sticking within the seven point spread. He writes, “This line is probably inflated after an ugly loss to the Cowboys on Monday night, so I’ll take some value with the Eagles here.”

Over at the NFL’s official site, Gregg Rosenthal is tasked with breaking down the weekly picks and predictions, and he has the Chiefs winning not only outright but against the spread with a final score of 31-23. That would be a single point over to cover for the Chiefs.

For the New York Times, Emmanuel Morgan has the Chiefs winning against the spread as well against the Eagles. He notes the team’s penchant for turnovers in recent weeks and believes Andy Reid will “preach ball security.” He then concludes, “If the Chiefs can fix those issues, their firepower should be too much for the Eagles’ young offense to respond.”

Finally at the Sporting News, Bill Bender wonders if this is a must win game for Kansas City before declaring his confidence that they will win by double digits against the Eagles by a final of 34-21.
