3. Quez Watkins – Receiving Yards (25.5)
If there’s a surprise to be found on the Philadelphia Eagles offense, it’s the efficiency of Quez Watkins who deserves to get more playing time (and thus more targets) than what he’s been seeing through the first three weeks of the year. Not only did he look good in the preseason, but he’s caught all 7 of his targets for 186 total yards, including a season-long 91 yard catch. Check it out below:
Given how ineffective others who are earning major playing time have been, such as former second round pick Jalen Reagor, it makes more sense to believe that Nick Sirianni is interested in playing those guys who will actually make it easier for him to compete. Watkins is definitely one such player.
Against the Chiefs, the Eagles are going to need all the firepower they can get. Even with a single catch, Watkins can leave this total in the dust considering the over/under for receiving yards here is only 25.5. That feels like a silly total with which easy money can be made, at least if the Eagles go with the obvious hot hand here.
