The Kansas City Chiefs lost again on Sunday, falling to the Los Angeles Chargers by a final score of 30-24 at home. But despite their second consecutive defeat, and another disappointing performance, the sky is not falling, and Chiefs Kingdom should still feel largely positive about this team.

The is no denying that the Chiefs need to play better. Kansas City has a losing record for the first time since Patrick Mahomes has been the starter and they are last in the AFC West for the first time since 2015.

But still, it is not time to panic. The Chiefs have struggled early this season, but there are still plenty of reasons why they should still feel confident.

Let’s find a silver lining (or two) after the Chiefs loss to the Chargers.

Kansas City is 1-2, but they could just as easily be 3-0. They have loads of talent on both sides of the ball and they have the youngest roster in the NFL.

The start of the season was always going to be difficult, with the first three games against fellow playoff contenders. The Chiefs have found the going tough, but the AFC is still wide open.

Fellow top teams Cleveland, Buffalo, Baltimore and Tennessee have each had a disappointing loss this season. The Raiders and Broncos are both undefeated, but questions remain as to whether they’re legitimate contenders.

The season certainly could have gotten off to a better start, but Chiefs Kingdom should still feel confident about KC’s chances of success this season.
