The K.C. Chiefs didn’t waste any time this season in providing their fans and the rest of the NFL with two things: 1.) a reminder of just how dangerous they can when they start clicking, and 2.) plenty of drama on the way to that reminder.
The Chiefs dropped the Browns to a 0-1 record last Sunday with a memorable fourth-quarter comeback win on the back of Patrick Mahomes‘ heroics. The Chiefs hope they can carry that momentum from the game’s final 10 minutes into this week’s game in primetime against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday Night Football.
This game should be a popular attraction and one of the biggest SNF matchups of the year given the name recognition of the two quarterbacks involved: Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson. That’s two of the last three regular season Most Valuable Player Award winners.
It also helps that both teams are coached by two of the best in the business. John Harbaugh and Andy Reid will both have their teams primed and ready for this early season showdown, which is not only good for theatrics and headlines, but it’s also good for important AFC positioning when all is said and done. The Ravens have Super Bowl aspirations and the Chiefs are hoping to make their third consecutive trip to the NFL’s biggest game.
