Patrick Mahomes has dominated planet earth, so we guess he’s starting to turn to outer space for new spaces to inhabit. That’s the only explanation we have for the out-of-this-world way that Oakley delivered a pair of sunglasses to the K.C. Chiefs star quarterback on Wednesday.

If you’ve not yet seen Mahomes’ video via Twitter of his newest pair of Oakley sunglasses, it’s pretty insane. It features an unidentified flying object coming into Arrowhead Stadium to deliver the goods (which are approximately 1/1000th of the size of the spacecraft) to Mahomes’ family.

To be honest, we’re not sure what to think here. I mean, I’m pretty sure any of us would love to switch places with Mahomes and be sponsored by companies left and right, getting free swag like sunglasses via spaceship. The capsule itself looks cool and the whole thing is pretty neat to watch.

It’s also apparently not enough for some celebs or athletes to be endorsed with money. Oakley is likely paying Mahomes a ton of money to bring attention to the product, but maybe Mahomes wanted more. Maybe his agent said “Yeah, we’re gonna need the millions and a UFO as a glasses case!” If so, that’s a sweet agent and I need new representation.

That said, if Mahomes is going to allow extra-terrestrial visitors to park on the grass, we’d prefer him to use his own lawn. The last thing we need is concerns about field conditions at Arrowhead due to rocket boosters. Guess it’s better than alien crop circles in the middle of Arrowhead.
