As the K.C. Chiefs prepare to suit up for their second preseason contest of three scheduled, the focus is less about the outcome and almost entirely on the process. No one is going to walk away from the team’s upcoming game against the Arizona Cardinals at State Farm Stadium caring about who won or lost. Instead, it’s going to be about individual performances.

Players at this point are fighting for active roster spots and/or playing time as they earn the trust of Andy Reid and his coaching staff with two more preseason games to play. The roster cuts have already begun in training camp with with a handful of players jettisoned last Tuesday and another five cuts due this coming Tuesday as well. While the Chiefs will continue to practice, the exhibition on Friday night between the Chiefs and Cards is the best chance for most players to prove themselves.

There’s a lot on the line for every player, but some can help themselves more than others considering the sort of momentum (or lack thereof) that they’re finding so far in training camp and the preseason. Here’s a look at some players who could really use a memorable performance in the primetime preseason lights on ESPN.
