Given the offseason undertakings of K.C. Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes and the general pop-cultural dominance of his presence, we’re actually a bit surprised that we haven’t actually overlooked the launch of his own signature shoe line yet.

All in good time, we suppose, as Mahomes came through just before the start of a new season with a sweet new look at the Mahomes 1.0 IMPACT FLX from Adidas.

Mahomes has actually previewed the idea of a shoe and his partnership with Adidas in the past, but he gave his fans a look at the sweet new shoe via his Instagram account. Check out the video below:

Between ownership stakes in the Kansas City Royals and Sporting KC, or even the wooing of Texas-based fast-food chain Whataburger to expand the franchise to another 30 locations in the K.C. area and beyond, Mahomes has had a very, very busy offseason—apart from the whole planning a wedding and having a baby thing.

Patrick Mahomes signature shoe line will be launched by Adidas.

Oh yeah, there’s also the need to work out and stay ready for a Super Bowl campaign coming off the sting of a frustrating loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Yet as we’ve seen Mahomes in training camp for the Chiefs this summer, he looks like he’s having no problem keeping his house in order. Launching a new shoe line is just the latest business venture from a player who is already among the NFL’s leaders in total merchandise sales.

Perhaps that whole dream of an NBA team relocating (or expanding) into the Kansas City area isn’t that much of a stretch after all.
