The K.C. Chiefs officially kick off training camp this week, which means they are also officially kicking off their quest to make it to a third straight Super Bowl. For years and years, I would spend these days before the start of camp trying to talk myself into believing that if every little thing went perfect, the Chiefs might be able to make it to a Super Bowl. That’s not the case anymore, so sometimes I have to stop and appreciate that this team has come so far.

With the Chiefs now being a perennial Super Bowl favorite, my pre-training camp analysis of the team has flipped. Now instead of looking for reasons to believe in the team, I find myself looking at what could go wrong that could keep them from achieving another Super Bowl run. While I love the Chiefs chances again this year and believe they have a strong roster overall, there are some spots where I see legit reasons to be concerned.

Don’t get me wrong, the players that I’m going to talk about today are all guys that I am pulling for. I don’t want to be writing “I told you so” in December if some of these players don’t have great seasons. So as camp kicks off, these guys are the ones that I am hoping put my concerns at ease, because if they do, it means that the Chiefs will likely be almost unstoppable.

So let’s kick this list off with one of the more recent additions to the roster.
