Mike Danna, DL

For a backup behind Pro Bowl defensive end Frank Clark, Mike Danna still saw significant playing time, playing in 31 percent of the team’s defensive snaps last year. But given Clark’s recent legal issues, his future is in question at the moment and it is possible Danna sees more snaps in 2021.

Danna was drafted last season in the fifth round out of Michigan. Danna also played at Central Michigan for three seasons prior to transferring to Michigan. As a backup defensive end, Danna had a good rookie season, finishing with 2.5 sacks, nine quarterback pressures and three quarterback hits.

Even if Clark is expected to play the entire season, Danna is someone who could see more snaps in 2021 for the Chiefs to help them with their rotation at defensive end. If he gets more snaps in 2021, his contribution could be key in helping the Chiefs have a stout defensive line.
