2. Darren Waller, Las Vegas Raiders

Projected Tight End #2: Foster Moreau

The Raiders have a mess of a roster, but they have a very talented tight end. While many rush to crown George Kittle as the 2nd best tight end in the NFL, a serious case could be made for Darren Waller. Although Waller is stuck on a pretty bad football team, he can single-handedly keep his team in the game. With very good athletic ability, Waller is able to easily come down with contested catches and outrun defenders.

Although Waller is in the discussion with Kelce and Kittle, he does not yet have the resume that they have. It remains unclear as to whether he will ever have the opportunity to shine the way that the other two have. Derek Carr is a middle-of-the-road quarterback and Jon Gruden is a below-average head coach. In the right situation, Waller could be even more dominant. Unfortunately, with a team like the Raiders, he may never see his full potential.

Behind Waller, Foster Moreau has been a solid contributor for the Raider offense. In two years the former LSU Tiger has scored 7 touchdowns in 29 games. Moreau looks the part; standing 6’4 and weighing 250. He has proven to be an asset for a red zone offense in both his blocking and pass-catching.

Darren Waller last season: 107 receptions on 145 targets, 1196 yards, 9 touchdowns.

Darren Waller 2021-2022 projection: 111 receptions on 160 targets, 1311yards, 6 touchdowns.

Foster Moreau last season: 7 receptions on 9 targets, 140 yards, 2 touchdowns.

Foster Moreau 2021-2022 projection: 9 receptions on 14 targets, 166 yards, 1 touchdown.
