Frank Clark isn’t supposed to be generating any headlines right now.

The Kansas City Chiefs and the rest of the National Football League are in the period of the calendar where the term “no news is good news” is rightfully applied. This is the time of the summer where every player is through mandatory minicamps, and yet training camp is far off in the distance. With a month to do whatever they please, this is often when we hear about players getting into some sort of legal troubles and now the Chiefs are one of the teams having to worry about such a situation.

On Sunday, TMZ reported that Frank Clark, the Chiefs defensive end and well-paid pass rusher, was arrested for having an uzi in a duffle bag in his Lambo SUV. Every bit of that phrase needs to be dissected and we did so on this episode of the Arrowhead Addict podcast. However, we also discuss what this scenario could mean for the Chiefs and Clark’s reputation overall. Details are unknown at this point, so everyone should handle any conjecture responsibly, but there’s still plenty to discuss.

Also on this episode of the Arrowhead Addict podcast, we discuss why everyone seems to be overlooking the late season surge in production and quality of play from second-year safety Juan Thornhill. Also, hosts Matt Conner and Sterling Holmes reflect on their favorite moves of the Chiefs offseason so far given that free agency and the first-year player draft are in the rearview mirror.
