Pro Football Hall of Famer Deion Sanders is one of the single biggest names in the sport of the last generation, a household name with a memorable “Neon Deion” nickname and the sort of on-field production to match it all. Guess it shouldn’t surprise anyone to see so many former and current stars lining up to help Sanders with an upcoming high school football camp.

Sanders is presently the head coach at Jackson State, a position he accepted last season. This offseason, he’s hosting his first-ever football camp at the school, which is in Jackson, Mississippi, and he’s inviting a host of familiar faces to join him.

K.C. Chiefs star safety Tyrann Mathieu is likely the most popular current NFL player to take part in the day’s activities but he’s not the only one. Fellow Hall of Famer wide receiver Terrell Owens will be on hand, as will former Chiefs cornerback and current Baltimore Ravens defender Marcus Peters.

Tyrann Mathieu is helping Deion Sanders with a football camp this weekend.

Other former and current players scheduled to participate include defensive back Kareem Jackson of the Denver Broncos; linebacker Demario Davis of the New Orleans Saints; offensive lineman Nate Newton, former of the Dallas Cowboys; cornerback DeAngelo Hall, formerly of the Atlanta Falcons; and defensive back Antoine Bethea, formerly with the Indianapolis Colts, among others.

Sanders’ camp is an exciting one for the furtherance and development of HBCU football programs and talent. All soon-to-be 9th through 12 grade students are invited to participate in this one day camp for all positions, not just defensive back. Interested parties can register here.
