Chiefs schedule breakdown

Based on these power rankings the Chiefs play the following teams this season.

  • No. 3
  • No. 4
  • No. 6
  • No. 7
  • No. 10
  • No. 11 (twice)
  • No. 14
  • No. 16
  • No. 20
  • No. 23 (twice)
  • No. 24 (twice)
  • No. 26
  • No. 27
  • No. 29

The Chiefs schedule is very front loaded with seven of their nine highest ranked opponents coming in the first nine weeks. That also means that in their final eight games, six of them are against teams ranked 20th or below in these power rankings. So if the Chiefs can come out of the first half of the season in good shape they should be in position to lock things up down the stretch. Overall I think it’s a pretty average schedule difficulty—again just front loaded.

So what do you think Chiefs fans? Do you agree with my power rankings for the most part? Are there teams that you think should be much higher or much lower? Do you agree with my outlook on the schedule? I’d love to read your thoughts in the comments below.
