Linebackers

Starters: Anthony Hitchens, Willie Gay Jr., Nick Bolton

Bench: Ben Niemann, Kamalei Correa, Dorian O’Daniel

Practice Squad: Darius Harris, Riley Cole

Cut: Omari Cobb, Emmanuel Smith

I think you can write Anthony Hitchens, Willie Gay, Nick Bolton, and Ben Niemann’s names on the 53 man roster in sharpie, because they are locks. I think Kamalei Correa is likely to make it as well, since he provides possible depth at both linebacker and as an edge rusher. Then I’ve got Dorian O’Daniel making it largely as a special teams contributor.

If the Chiefs were going to keep a seventh linebacker on the active roster it would likely be Darius Harris, but for now I’ve got him on the practice squad. With O’Daniel in the final year of his rookie contract, I think undrafted rookie Riley Cole may stick around on the practice squad as a potential heir to the special teams specialist linebacker spot.

Now on to the cornerbacks.
