Tight Ends

Starter: Travis Kelce

Bench: Blake Bell, Noah Gray

Practice Squad: Nick Keizer

Cut: Evan Baylis, Jody Fortson

Once again the starting spot here is obviously set in stone with Travis Kelce. Where I think most fans are going to disagree with me is that I believe Blake Bell will be the primary number two tight end. The number two tight end is much more of a blocker in Andy Reid’s offense than a pass catcher, and that makes Bell a much better option than rookie Noah Gray. I do believe Gray will spell Kelce some and get on the field here and there, but Bell will out snap him overall.

I thought about keeping Keizer on the active roster, but ultimately I chose Burton at fullback over him. I think they’ll keep him on the practice squad over Jody Fortson. Fortson as a receiver/tight end hybrid is tempting, but I think ultimately Gray makes him expendable. So while I like Fortson more than Keizer, I think the Chiefs will keep Keizer over him because of his ability to block and play as an inline tight end.

Offensive line is up next.
