Wide Receivers

Starters: Tyreek Hill, Demarcus Robinson, Mecole Hardman

Bench: Byron Pringle, Cornell Powell, Antonio Callaway

Practice Squad: Daurice Fountain

Cut: Gehrig Dieter, Maurice Ffrench, Chris Finke, Marcus Kemp, Dalton Schoen, Chad Williams

There are two roles in the Chiefs wide receivers that are set in store (barring a very unlikely trade for Julio Jones). Tyreek Hill will be their #1 receiver and Mecole Hardman will be a big play weapon out of the slot. I have Demarcus Robinson technically listed as the starting outside receiver opposite of Hill, but I actually believe the Chiefs will use Robinson, Byron Pringle, and eventually Cornell Powell as part of a rotation in that spot. If you want to argue that Pringle will be the starter, not Robinson, that’s fine. I’m not sure the “starter” label will actually matter as the season plays out.

I have a feeling that Antonio Callaway will stand out above the rest of the options on the roster enough to earn a spot on the 53-man roster, especially if he shows he can be a valuable special teams player. I’ve got Daurice Fountain on the practice squad, but I think that spot is pretty wide open.

Next up let’s look at the tight ends.
