L’Jarius Sneed

The player with the most optimistic outlook for the Super Bowl is still listed here because his presence is vital for Steve Spagnuolo’s defense and he’s yet to play after suffering a head injury and going through the NFL’s concussion protocol.

Sneed came out of the Chiefs’ last postseason contest after hitting his head on the turf during the team’s convincing win over the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship last Sunday. The Chiefs defense continued to perform well in his absence, but it’s clear the Chiefs were hoping that Sneed would be able to prove he was healthy and ready in time for the Super Bowl given his incredible body of work on the season.

Going into the big game against the Bucs, it will be interesting to see how Sneed performs back on the field and whether he shows any concerns at all. Given Sneed’s physical presence in the secondary, he’s going to be instrumental in slowing down the Bucs’ passing attack, and his nose for the ball could come up big in terms of turnovers, given that Tom Brady threw three interceptions just last Sunday in the NFC Championship against the Green Bay Packers.
