The Chiefs will have Tyreek Hill and Tyrann Mathieu available against the Dolphins.

Over the last few days, the Kansas City Chiefs have faced questions about the availability of two of their most dominant performers, one on each side of the ball. Fortunately the team has put out their final injury report and inactive list and both safety Tyrann Mathieu and wide receiver Tyreek Hill look to be active and available against the Miami Dolphins in Week 14.

Earlier this week, Hill was forced to miss practice on Wednesday due to an illness. He returned to practice as the week progressed, but his availability was something to watch given his importance to the Chiefs’ offense. As for Mathieu, he was a potential late scratch as word of a hip injury on Friday caused him to be listed as questionable on the Chiefs’ injury report.

On Sunday, however, both players were not among the team’s inactive players and word leaked that Mathieu in particular was healthy enough to play for the Chiefs.

As for those players who are not able to go on Sunday against Miami, there are no major surprises here. Linebacker Damien Wilson is the biggest name who will be missed against the Dolphins. He’s the best overall tackler in the linebacking corps and his presence will force the Chiefs to juggle some options when in their base defense.

Defensive tackle Khalen Saunders is a healthy scratch once again as he sits behind Tershawn Wharton and others on the depth chart. Last year’s third round pick has been slow to reclaim any playing time after he sat for a good half-season due to an elbow injury suffered in Week 1.

As for the rest, the Chiefs will also sit defensive end Tim Ward, cornerback BoPete Keyes, offensive lineman Martinas Rankin, and tight end Ricky Seals-Jones.
