With Week 13 over, the Kansas City Chiefs have clinched the playoffs. Here’s a look at the NFL standings.

Another long week is over after the Baltimore Ravens and Dallas Cowboys played on Tuesday night. Now 13 weeks into the NFL season, the Kansas City Chiefs have clinched the playoffs.

The Chiefs snuck past the Denver Broncos this week to claim their 11th win of the season. The game was much closer than expected, with the Chiefs only winning by six. Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes had a solid game, completing 25/40 passes for 318 yards and 1 touchdown. His primary target was once again tight end Travis Kelce, who caught 8 passes for 136 yards and 1 touchdown.

The Chiefs had a play early on that would have impacted how the game went when wide receiver Tyreek Hill caught a pass from Mahomes for a touchdown that was ruled incomplete. The replay revealed that Hill actually made a spectacular play to catch the ball, but the Chiefs did not challenge the call and settled for a field goal. The Chiefs ultimately won the game 22-16.

The playoff race in the AFC continues to shake up, with the current seeding looking like this:

  1. Pittsburgh Steelers 11-1-0
  2. Kansas City Chiefs* 11-1-0
  3. Buffalo Bills 9-3-0
  4. Tennessee Titans 8-4-0
  5. Cleveland Browns 9-3-0
  6. Miami Dolphins 8-4-0
  7. Indianapolis Colts 8-4-0

The Chiefs have become the first team in the AFC to punch in their ticket to the playoffs with their win over the Broncos. The Las Vegas Raiders and the Baltimore Ravens continue to chase a playoff spot as they sit at 7-5, hoping for the Dolphins or Colts to slip up.

The playoff picture in the NFC looks like this:

  1. New Orleans Saints* 10-2-0
  2. Green Bay Packers 9-3-0
  3. Los Angeles Rams 8-4-0
  4. New York Giants 5-7-0
  5. Seattle Seahawks 8-4-0
  6. Tampa Bay Buccaneers 7-5-0
  7. Minnesota Vikings 6-6-0

The Arizona Cardinals are close behind at 6-6 hoping to make the playoffs, but have work to do to as the Vikings own a tiebreaker over them. Meanwhile, the Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, San Francisco 49ers, and Washington Football team remain playoff hopefuls as they are all tied at 5-7.
