Byron Pringle is questionable to return after injuring his ankle.

The Kansas City Chiefs will have to make due on offense and special teams without Byron Pringle as the wide receiver has been designated as questionable to return, according to the team, after suffering an ankle injury on Sunday night against the Las Vegas Raiders.

The Chiefs are fighting a major battle to come out of Week 11 with a victor, and the loss of Pringle will hurt in multiple facets of the game if he’s not able to come back.

Pringle has caught 3 catches on 4 targets for 17 yards in the game so far, but he’s also returned all three kicks so far for the Chiefs. He’s a primary return option and solid target in the passing game, and without him in the lineup, both Dave Toub and Eric Bieniemy must adjust their plans accordingly.

The Chiefs have been forced to keep up with the Raiders all night, who have had little trouble moving the chains against the Chiefs defense. The Chiefs have Mecole Hardman back from the reserve/COVID list but, for some reason, haven’t played him yet in the game. Without Pringle as well, their depth at wide receiver is limited and could be something to watch in the game’s final minutes.

More details about Pringle’s injury will be made available by the coaching staff in the days ahead, but suffice it to say, that the team will be anxious to get him back as a key contributor in often overlooked places.
